Parents teaching lessons and people watching

A few weeks ago, Cara and I went to the Titans game. she got me tickets for my birthday/wedding anniversary! Although it was one of the worse losses at LP field in history, we still had a great time.
A bunch of the fans, and I man 3/4 of the stadium, cleared out after the half and another interception by Hasselback.

The mood of the crowd was dismal, dark, and down on such a beautiful day. The sun was out although we thought it was going to be crazy hot. If you add a not so good outing of your team, weather, and beer, you come up with some pretty good stuff!

Around the middle of the 4th quarter, I think Cara turned to people watching. I really had no choice either. Yeah It was that bad to watch.

A "Bubba", and I call him that by first impression, had all he could stand. There was a Texan fan who still waved his flag and cheered loudly when anything would happen in his horn hat. Another poor decision was called and Titans were stopped for a loss. Good to see all that money go to work. And they want fans to pay a stadium tax for renovations. But I digress.
So, back to the guy in the camouflage I will call Bubba. The dismal play calling led him to finally burst. He shouted down to the field, Hey you Mother (F bomb)ers, get your (f bomb)ing heads out you GD a**es. Just as soon as he settled back in his seat with his arms folded and his wal-mart greeter of a girlfriend gave him the stink eye, the the sunny day became dark.
A rather swollen man, that reminded me of Debo from the movie Friday, stood up. felt like he blocked the sun he was so big! He was also about to make it rain on Bubba's parade!

"Debo jumps up and says, "Hey man my kid is right here!" And as if he didn't say it loud enough to make the whole section pay attention, he said it again, but louder!
The look on this mans face told me it was pretty much over for Bubba!
Some small banter was exchanged and things took a turn for the worse. Bubba wasn't backing down and Debo got even hotter. Bubba mumbled something and Debo yelled What the "F" are you going to. Let's go then. If not shut the (F bomb) up.

Here lies my dilemma. Should I be amazed that a father stood up for his child? Or should I be in awe that he showed the same exact behavior that he was defending his child for? A simple, hey please don't use that language would have done the job. Maybe not, but I like to think so. By showing aggression and also telling the cussing Bubba to shut the "F" up after getting mad in the first place for him using bad language is completely confusing to me! I wonder how the kid felt?
After a neck jerk, a crack of the knuckles, and a stare that made me kinda have to pee my pants, "Debo" sat back down. He was rocking back and forth still mad from the altercation. "Bubba" on the other hand kept shaking his head and I could tell that he too was about to pee his pants in from fright!

A few more 3 and outs and the game was coming to an end. Here is where the story took a turn for a better. The 2 men finally cooled down and actually started talking about kids, football, and other small chit chat. I think they even exchanged names to later become FB friends! Good for them!
I still wonder, what did the kid think? Did he go to school the next day and say, " Me and my daddy went to a Titans game". Or was it more like "My daddy almost got in a fight because a man talked like he does all the time!"

Trend setter

Trends at the school kill me. If it isn't one thing it's another. It's always been a thing to have the trinket at the time. I remember as a kid we had the friendship bracelets.

Then we had the Chinese pencils. But hese hand sanitizer thingy's are taking it to a whole new level of weirness. I'mm all for the un germy kid. But to have 68,10,25, hanging from your backpack as a status is just a bit too much for me!

Bring back the Garbage pail kids and I'll shut up!

30 day notice

1 Month. Crosby Jack is 1 month old. I feel like it took Anderson 3 years to be 1 month old! I know I know that isn't possible, but just trying to get my point across. Mommy is doing great, daddy is fine and dandy, and AK well she is such the good big sister.
I DJ'd a party this weekend and Anderson wanted to know if I was staying the night. That little stinker tries to figure a way to sleep in my spot when I'm gone for the weekend. Speaking of weekends, get your coats and cans ready because the Cataloochie ski coats and can drive will be here before we know it? Who's in this year? I can already feel Cara rolling her eyes about me talking about bombing the mountain this season! I really want to take AK this year tot he hill, but she tells me she only likes to snowboard in the back yard but she wants Crosby to go with me. I think I might wait a little bit before he is in on the trips!

You're my boy Blue

So today we went to go see the movie "The Smurfs". We had told Anderson that is she was good all week, that we would reward her with a Saturday afternoon treat. She was pumped. she decided to wear her cowboy hat for some reason or another and off we went. Well after being abused by the cost of tickets, popcorn, and soda, we found a seat. The previews lasted forever and Anderson ran back and forth giving kisses to me, mommy, and her little brother aka Cara's belly. One of the previews after it got dark was about a movie and this dolphin who couldn't swim and needed a tail or something. Yeah that's about all I got out of it. Cara, on the other hand, had a moment! I looked over to see her sobbing as if she was at a funeral! After a few moments, she noticed I was staring at her and busted out laughing. I haven't laughed that hard in a while! And she wonders why I wouldn't go with her to see the Safari animal movie. It's pretty hard to keep it together in a movie theater when your wife is crying over a freaking tailless dolphin!
The movie was ok, and I think AK seemed to like it. At the end of the movie when the credits were rolling, it shows a picture of the new kid that they had named Blue. We have always referred to the new kid as blue because that's what we used as code word around Anderson before she knew we were expecting! So this kid is def. gonna get stuck with a nickname now!
Oh and to all the peeps reading this via FB welcome and don't forget to subscribe.

1 week.

In one week, I'll have 2. Yup, we made it to full term. And I'm like cara, all questions. I'm just wondering how Anderson will hold up. I think Raley dog knows something is up too. And playdough the fish and mommy and daddy crabs are clueless.
So next Friday is the big day.
